Waterside Holiday Group raises £17,657 for Dorset Mind
Thanks to the collective efforts of the team, guests, owners, and local supporters, Waterside has successfully raised a total of £17,657 for Dorset Mind and £17,207 for Weldmar Hospice care. These funds will contribute to the invaluable work both organisations do, providing mental health support and hospice care to those in need across Dorset.
Throughout the year, Waterside hosted numerous fundraising activities across its holiday parks in Dorset and Cornwall, bringing the community together while raising awareness and support for these causes. Some of the highlights include:
Regular Bingo Evenings, 10-Hour Cycle Relay Competition between the teams at Bowleaze Cove Holiday Park and Chesil Beach Holiday Park.

“Following a difficult year of ever-increasing costs and funding cuts, everyone at Weldmar Hospice care was delighted to hear how much Waterside Holiday Group had raised for us this year as one of their chosen charities. They absolutely smashed the target that they originally set themselves, which is just incredible. THANK YOU to all involved—you have truly made a difference, and your support means that we can continue to provide specialist end-of-life care for adults with a life-limiting illness across Dorset, and support for their loved ones.”
Dorset Mind’s CEO Linda O’Sullivan said:
“Waterside’s fundraising achievement is remarkable. And when you meet the team, you feel their passion and warmth. We’ve got big plans to develop services across the county and this money will help us focus more attention on much-needed support for our children and young people. We’re hugely grateful for Waterside’s support.”
Waterside says it looks forward to continuing its charitable initiatives in 2025, further strengthening commitment to supporting local community causes.
