Meet our Chatty Benches
Dorset Mind has begun launching its Chatty Benches –
a project that will see us collaborate with corporate sponsors
and artists to create a safe space to talk and learn about our
mission.
Our vision is to create vital sanctuaries for reflection and
supportive conversation across every corner of the county.
We want to actively encourage everyone to come, sit, and find
a moment of peace, and enthusiastically chat supportively with
others.
Castlepoint Shopping installed several brightly coloured benches
some years ago, and they’ve become an immediate magnet for
people who want to talk and support others.
Each new bench will feature a QR code instantly linking people to a
page with vital information.
Liam’s Bench

This bench was created in collaboration with our partners at Dorset Tea. Special thanks also to our local artist, Helena, and to our supplier, Robert White at David R. White Builders, and to Paul Bird, Greenspaces Manager at Weymouth Town Council.
