National Debt Line Support

Provide free debt advice to people across the UK. This debt advice charity is run by the Money Advice Trust, providing confidential support to help improve people manage their debts.

Call 0808 808 4000 Monday to Friday 9 am-8 pm and on Saturdays 9.30 am-1 pm.

Or use their online Digital Advice Tool to complete a questionnaire which will be responded to by one of their advisors.

Faithworks

Faithworks work alongside people in crisis practically building hope and resilience, through projects around food, finance, recovery, homelessness, and lone parenting. They are a Christian charity and have locations across Dorset including:

  • Wimborne

Citizens Advice

Offer a wide range of debt advice and cost of living support amongst many other services which provide financial support. You can chat with a debt advisor for free using their online chat box or you can call them on 0800 144 8848.

Help and Kindness

Find foodbanks in Dorset on the Help and Kindness signposting hub online. This includes information on community fridges, social supermarkets, and pop-up larders. Find support in your local community. People are ready to help you.

Offer free, flexible debt advice that is based on a comprehensive assessment of your situation. They’ll then provide practical help and support for however long it’s needed.

The process:

  1. Follow two questions on their website

Financial Help To Deal With Money Worries. StepChange

  1. They’ll use this information to find a solution to your debt that suits your situation
  2. They’ll set up your debt solution, and offer support however long it’s needed

CAP (Christians Against Poverty)
