What does Waiting Well do?
Waiting Well supports young people who are waiting for CAMHS, who have low attendance at School or are struggling with their emotions
It provides free 1:1 sessions and group programmes that:
- Teach coping tools for anxiety, low confidence and big emotions
- Builds confidence and emotional resilience
- Reduce isolation and increases school engagement
- Offer safe, trusted spaces to talk
In the past 3 years, the Waiting Well Programme has supported 218 young people across Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools with 1:1 and group services and over 450 young people through assemblies, across Dorset.
Behind every number is a young person who felt heard. But demand continues to rise, and without funding, we cannot continue to meet the growing need.
