Every year we look to partner with 2 or 3 charities and the work Dorset Mind were doing locally was fantastic and something we were really keen to support. Having Dorset Mind as a local partner has given us the confidence to speak about Mental Health internally and ensure all staff are happy and more importantly, given the confidence to reach out should they feel they need to. The team at Dorset Mind are always so appreciative of any support and exposure to help with the amazing work they do, so any company working alongside them is extremely privileged. Their passion and dedication is truly amazing and will always go above and beyond to ensure they get the most out of every opportunity, as well as promoting the partner at every opportunity.
There used to be a real taboo around mental health, particularly for men.
To admit that you might be having problems either with relationships, money pressures etc just wasn’t the done thing.
I wanted to make a difference and at a time when Dorset Mind was growing in awareness locally, I was eager to align with a mental health charity and I love the work that Dorset Mind do, so it was an easy choice.
“Dorset Mind are a pleasure to work with, their communication and support is excellent and it is rewarding to know you are making a difference to mental health services and especially to be able to see that in action at a local level.
We had been looking for a way to support Dorset Mind and during lockdown.
We had the perfect opportunity by creating an interactive wellness project called my.dorsetmind.uk.
This is the first of many initiatives we are planning together, and look forward to being able to support this great service here in Dorset.
When picking our Charity of the Year partner, we asked our customers who they would like to raise money for in that year.
In 2019 we had a clear winner for our Christchurch and Broomhill Garden Centres, which was Dorset Mind.
Even before the pandemic, it was so great to be able to help people in the local area with their mental health.
And now, during COVID, we love that we can raise money to help fund Dorset Mind so that they can help change people’s lives after the past two years.
The decision to make Dorset Mind our corporate charity was made by colleagues.
We ask everyone to nominate a charity and then take a vote on who they would like to support as our Charity of the Year and Dorset Mind came out on top!
Mental health can affect people from all walks of life, at any time, and the team here at Morebus understands just how important it is to have support in place for anyone who needs it
Mental health is such an important issue, especially during these uncertain and difficult times.

Mental health issues affect so many people – including people close to me – and the isolation following COVID has exacerbated the issue.
It’s time to become more aware of mental health by getting people talking.
The Dorset Mind Verwood Wellbeing Support Group does just that by helping individuals connect and relate.
At CryoLabs we have noted with interest the beneficial effects and results we have had with cryotherapy treatments on people suffering from a variety of Mental Health issues.
We have certainly witnessed at first hand the transformational benefits enjoyed by many of our clients and the help it has given to them.
As a result of the benefits that our cryotherapy treatments give to our clients we are pleased to announce that we now have a support partnership with Dorset Mind the Mental Health Charity in order that we can provide this treatment through this partnership to those who need it most at a price they can afford.
As a firm, we recognise that during these challenging times,
the vital work carried out by these local charities to highlight the issues of,
and improve mental health within our community are more important than ever.
We are delighted therefore to extend our support for the local branches of Mind into 2022,
and let’s hope that we’ll have the opportunity to take part in some of the brilliant events planned,
doing our bit to support the all-important journey to good mental health.
