My name is Lucy, and I am a proud ambassador for Dorset Mind.
I originally joined Dorset Mind as a social media and marketing assistant during my placement year for my psychology undergrad degree. I’ve continued with the charity as an ambassador since graduating in 2020.
Since then, I have held four Assistant Psychologist jobs with a range of client populations and completed my MSc in Foundations in Clinical Psychology. I am currently applying for a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and working towards publishing my MSc dissertation.
I enjoy writing articles on a range of different mental health and wellbeing topics for Dorset Mind. The charity has also provided the opportunity for me to use my own experience with mental health to support other people struggling with their mental health.
Being a part of Dorset Mind is inspiring, as I get to see first-hand how hard people are working to support mental health and provide valuable services to those who need them.
