We nominated Calvin for the hard work and effort he puts into raising funds and mental health awareness for us. At just 16, Calvin possesses the confidence and maturity of someone twice his age. He also speaks very eloquently about his lived experience of mental health problems. Calvin is a singer/songwriter – and performing to an audience helps him overcome his own mental health problems. Last year, Calvin organised a two-day musical spectacular in Winton for Christmas. He also wrote, released and launched a CD Single and album at the same event which raised much-needed funds for us.The awards ceremony…

Eloise recovered from an eating disorder, and is now studying to become a doctor. She also offers her help and support to other patients.
John was diagnosed with mental illness. He changed his life, stopped smoking and taking drugs. He’s now healthy and plays American football.
Calvin was presented his award by Kevin Diffey of PRC Streamline Taxis, who sponsored the award.
It has been a very special evening. We’re so proud of Calvin and would like to thank him for not only speaking out about mental health, but for inspiring many young people his age to achieve their dreams. He truly deserves his award.
