Friday 5th August heralds not one but TWO exciting events for Dorset Mind. The start of a new series of delegate training courses, and the BCHA Festival of Wellbeing.
Training
As you may know, we offer a range of training including mental health awareness, emotional resilience, stress and anxiety, depression, autism and Asperger’s syndrome. Our training can be tailored to an organisation’s individual requirements, and delivered either at your premises or ours.
From August 5th we will be offering delegate courses on the first and third Friday of every month at our premises near Bournemouth bus and train stations:
5 August – Mental Health Awareness
19 August – Emotional Resilience
2 Septmeber – Stress and Anxiety
16 September – Depression
Cost: £45 per delegate for half day, £75 for a full day.
Please see here for further information. To book onto a course please telephone 01202 551660 or email contact@dorsetmind.uk
Courses need a minimum of 4 delegates to run.
The BCHA Festival of Wellbeing
Hosted by our fellow charity organisation BCHA, at Boscombe Gardens, the Festival of Wellbeing offers activities such as art, street theatre, dance, face-painting and live music for all.
Bournemouth Churches Housing Association, which supports the homeless and other vulnerable people, is holding the event in partnership with similar organisations.
Dorset Mind will be attending – we’ll be taking our stall and hope to
increase awareness regarding who we are and what we do to help people with mental health issues
receive the support they need.
The event runs from 1-4pm. For further details visit: facebook.com/bcha.org.uk.
