We’d like to say ‘thank you’ to Roy Twycross for his donation on behalf of the ‘Ride in a Ferrari’ supercars reunion lunch. Roy organised annual ‘Ride in a Ferrari’ events from 1999 to 2009 that gathered Ferrari owners together. The reunion lunch was at The Countryman Inn, East Knighton in Dorset on Saturday 3rd June.
The Ferrari supercars…
The meeting consisting of a small gathering of just two cars – two others had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. The Ferrari 308 GTB “Vetroresina”
(fibreglass bodied example) is the yellow car in the photographs. The red Ferrari is a 1990s F355 F1 GTS
– brought along by its owner from near Ringwood.
The lunch raised a £50 donation
Volunteer Manager and Group Facilitator Rob Griffith attended. As an avid car fan, he was keen to see the Supercars.
Rob is photographed opposite in the red F355 just before taking a short ride on the A352 Wareham Road.
Rob also delivered a short presentation and handed out our brochures that detail the work we do in Dorset to help people with mental health challenges.
Brand new event for Autumn…
Roy has just announced further fundraising plans
with his partner, Lindsey Skelton-Smith. They will host a party/disco in aid of Dorset Mind and also St Margaret’s Hospice in Yeovil during September or October. Details to be confirmed…
