After a 20-year career in education, I have reached the end of my training for level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
From personal experience I know how our mental health issues can affect so many different aspects of our lives. Including our relationships, our ability to think clearly, our confidence in ourselves, our working life.
I have have considerable experience working with counselling clients. During this time, I’ve witnessed how talking therapy can help us to find a way forward with more confidence. I believe that every individual is the expert in their own lives. I don’t try to fix or tell clients what to do but offer support as they find their own answers.
This will be my third career. I started working in insurance and after having my children I trained as a maths teacher. I now enjoy helping look after my grandchildren and spend a lot of time keeping the weeds out of my garden.
