Where Do You Live?
In Swanage, right by the seaside!
What are you studying?
At the moment I am taking my A levels and I’m studying English literature, sociology and history.
What are your interests inside and outside of studying?
I really like my school subjects at the moment, so extra reading for my classes is never a bad thing! I also generally love to do lots of reading both in and outside of school and enjoy watching lots of movies. But, most importantly my time always feels well spent when I get to see all my friends.
What are your hopes and ambitions for the future?
I would love to be able to continue my education and study my favourite subjects much further into my future. However, I hope now and in the future those close by to me can always feel like they can talk to me or ask for help when necessary. I would love to see myself help to make a positive difference in the world.
What is your story in relation to mental health?
From a young age I have understood what a large impact mental health can have on myself and those close to me. If that is grieving a loved one, exam anxiety or being there to support friends and family It is always so important to know that you are supported by those who care for you.
If you could give someone a piece of advice, what would it be?
Always take a moment to assess the situation, perspective is always so important! Remember that your feelings are as valid and as important as everyone else’s.
What is one self-care tip that you have found helpful?
Although it may sound obvious take a break from technology and either go for a walk, read a book or have a nice, relaxing bath. You will really feel the benefits as well as feel far more productive with your time.
