Nicola is our Mental Health, Sport and Physical Activity Project Coordinator and GAP Project Coordinator. She has always been interested in sport and physical activity and is immensely passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle. Nicola studied for a sports degree at university. This strengthened Nicola’s passion and interest in physical activity, which has always been a big part of her life.

Nicola cycles regularly and enjoys going out for walks or on her longboard to explore and appreciate the great outdoors. She also likes doing high intensity interval training (HIIT) and plays football for a local team.

There is a very strong link between physical health and mental health. The benefits of being active on overall wellbeing is something Nicola is keen to share with others. Her role at Dorset Mind provides opportunities for individuals who might be experiencing mental health problems to take part in physical activity. Nicola will also use her passion for nature and the environment when working on The GAP Project.
