Jim is the Journey Coordinator for the Active Monitoring programme in Weymouth and Portland. Passionate about evidence-based medicine, he spent most of his career taking short contract in NHS services that needed help to hit their targets, until deciding to undertake a PhD to add to the evidence that feeling socially connected is essential for most people’s wellbeing. Jim joined Dorset Mind to help launch the Active Monitoring programme he delivers, and he describes it as a dream opportunity; to build a service out of the best bits of the many services he’s been part of.

If you see Jim outside of work, then you are probably hiking around rural Dorset, because that’s where he likes to be whenever he can.
