Hi, my name is Chris. I have been a counsellor for 5 years.
I became a counsellor because I like to see clouds lift for people, their potential fulfilled and a reduction in daily anxiety. Their life becomes much more manageable and worthwhile once more.
Talking therapy, or counselling, is important as it helps people with voicing what was previously unsayable. They are heard, understood, and accepted. The counsellor might be the only person in a client’s life who provides a regular space for all of these to happen.
An interesting fact about me is that I was interviewed by the journalist Georgina Lawton for her first book, entitled ‘Raceless’.
