Amelia is Dorset Mind’s Training and Partnerships Coordinator.
Amelia’s background has predominantly been in the sport and leisure industry. Her strengths are attracting and maintaining strong relationships alongside community development, which have always been a core part of her work throughout her career. She also brings a wealth of experience in project management.
Amelia is incredibly passionate about mental health having seen the impact that ill mental health can have on the people around her. This is why she decided to join the Dorset Mind team.
She is confident in building rapport and opening up conversations about mental health. Amelia helps us support businesses to breakdown the stigma attached to mental health and encourages businesses to develop mentally healthy workplaces where employees thrive.
For someone who enjoys meeting people and having a chat, Amelia recommends connecting with family and friends on a regular basis. She advises to really check in with them to see how they are doing. After all, a small conversation can really make a difference to someone who is struggling and doesn’t know where to turn or who to open up to.
Amelia loves going to classes at the gym for the exercise (as well as the social!) and taking her beagle Bruno out for long walks in the countryside. She also loves to travel and has been lucky enough to have experienced many more countries than most would dream of!
