Our Patron, Dr Andy Mayers, has invited Paul Farmer to speak at the start of Bournemouth University’s Disability History Month. Paul has been Chief Executive of Mind, the leading mental health charity, since May 2006.
Paul Farmer – changing the way we think about mental health
Paul’s presentation is entitled ‘The task of this generation – changing the way we all think about mental health.’ It will definitely inspire some thought-provoking conversation afterwards. Mental health problems are often dismissed due to them not being seen. And it’s Dorset Mind’s intention to ‘make this invisible condition visible’. By speaking about mental health, we hope to reduce the stigmasurroundingit.
