Collage for wellbeing – Delivered by Jodie House Collage
Jodie House – College Artist My home is Weymouth, a very typical British seaside town. My collage work includes found materials, but mostly street billboards that have seen better days. I love ripping paste-ups that have been spray painted or weathered by the wind and rain. I have always been a resourceful person and will reuse materials that have been discarded. I like to replace women away from traditional narratives, and cut them out of place and disrupt the representation. I also work in the community as an artist with vulnerable young people and families, using collage and photography as an engagement and holistic tool for wellbeing.
Working from a supplied PDF ‘call out’ that everyone will receive before the event looking at what community means to you through collage – a great freestyle session! And will touch on mindfulness and wellbeing.

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or “Tapping” can provide instant shifts in your thoughts and emotions. It works along the same lines as acupuncture, reflexology and massage – targeting certain points on the body that trigger the release of stored up negative energy and emotions, allowing holistic balance to be restored to the body, mind and spirit. It’s easy, quick and effective, especially at soothing anxiety and easing away stress. This 1-hour session will introduce you to the world of tapping and how to rewire your Unconscious Mind for happiness.
Mindfulness techniques to calm the mind – Delivered by Fiona Chapman
I started working as a leader, trainer and manager in education over 30 years ago frequently with a responsibility for adult and young people’s pastoral care and wellbeing. Since 2000, I’ve been working as a coach and helped many clients break through the barriers of stress, low mood and anxiety as well as achieve their goals. Life’s too short to be unhappy, unsure, stressed or nothing but missed opportunities. So what are you waiting for? Let me show you how you can easily overcome those barriers that are standing in the way of your well-being, your happiness, your hopes and life.
Since 2007 I have been training coaches to coach using my method and working with organisations to help them develop those skills in their staff. Now the courses are available online and I am looking forward to working with more and more people, changing lives and changing skills ‘to do’ life!
How to ‘Mind the Gap’ between Stress and Wellbeing This very practical session is your opportunity to bring Mindfulness approaches and techniques into your everyday life, easily and effortlessly. Research shows you can benefit from just 5 minutes mindfulness practice a day, calming the mind, reducing the stress and building resilience. Many people recognize the term mindfulness but often think it means sitting still and meditating and decide it’s not for them. Mindfulness can be movement, practiced as you go about your day, doing what you usually do whilst carrying out quick, simple techniques to calm the mind. Join me, Fiona Chapman, on May 8th for a fun filled session of opportunities to experience practical techniques to soothe and calm your mind, strengthen your well-being and resilience. Plenty of time for practice, questions and sharing too.
Wellness Mocktails – Provided by The Spirit Sisters
Born at the bottom of a steep hill in dreamy Dorset. We spent the first national lockdown in the middle of a field surrounded by fluffy sheep, sampling cocktails, mocktails, sketching branding ideas and refurbishing a little beaut of a horsebox and gift sets.
We feel it’s important for us to keep everything as environmentally friendly as possible…. so everyone can kick back and sip sustainably in style!
Recently we have been drawn to the health benefits of ingredients and alcohol free mocktails.
After your full day of virtual learning, why not have a go at making our delicious mocktails as you relax into the evening. There won’t be a live session for this, we’ll provide full instructions and videos in your goodie box.
