We are seeking a Service Practitioner to join our passionate Children and Young People team to deliver activity-led wellbeing groups aimed at 11-18 year olds.
As our newly appointed Service Practitioner, you will design and facilitate sessions that are participant-focused, emotionally supportive and inclusive. You will share our passion for advocating positive mental health and provide young people with tools and skills to support themselves, as well as others.
The successful candidate will work well as part of a team and on their own, and their responsibilities will include administration associated with the design, running and evaluation of the sessions, data collection and handling, active listening, sharing feedback and abiding by policies.
Wellbeing groups take place after 4pm, midweek, so the post-holder will need to be able to work late afternoons/evenings. Within this role, there is scope to work across our other fantastic services too.
We train our new Practitioners to have the framework and resources available to them to confidently support others.
Dorset Mind is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role will require an enhanced DBS check.
