Counselling is fundamental to recovery because recovery is difficult or impossible to sustain without addressing the underlying issues which have led to someone developing an eating disorder. This could include coming to terms with distressing life events and family situations including bullying, anger, loss and trauma.
What do Restored offer?
Restored offers an in-house counselling service with Counsellors & Psychotherapists who are registered or accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and have experience of working with people with eating disorders. We use a Humanistic Integrative model which incorporates Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapeutic skills and tools.
We offer a sliding scale of counselling charges in order to accommodate the needs of all our service-users. Nobody is refused support for financial reasons.
