How do I fundraise for Dorset Mind?

Firstly you’ll need a fundraising idea, check out our 30 Fundraising Ideas factsheet or our virtual fundraising page for ideas 

Once you have your fundraising idea, head to JustGiving or *Virgin Money Giving to set up your fundraising page. We have a detailed guide on how to set up an online fundraising page here. 

How do I send my donations to you?

Head to our helpful ‘How to pay in your donations’ page for information on this. 

Can you send me promotional materials such as balloons?

We currently don’t stock promotional balloons, however we do have pens and wristbands available to send out upon request. 

I set up my fundraising page for Mind by mistake, how do I change it to Dorset Mind?

Don’t worry this is easy to fix. First thing you’ll need to do is to  

  1. Email the National Mind fundraising team and Dorset Mind (fundraising@dorsetmind.uk), explain that you didn’t realise the difference between Dorset Mind and National Mind and would much prefer your donations to stay local.  
  1. Once you’ve had the go-ahead from National Mind, send a link and screenshot of your fundraising page to Dorset Mind (we will then deal directly with Mind to transfer your funds). 
  1. Close your fundraising page and set up a new one for Dorset Mind.  

Is there a minimum I’d need to raise?

If you have set up your own event or challenge the simple answer is no. You can set your own target, but you aren’t held accountable for this.  

However, if you have signed up to one of Dorset Mind’s events such as the Wing Walking, then the target will need to be met in order for Dorset Mind to authorise your place. Should yo not reach your target, we can discuss moving the date or paying for your own place. 

What kind of challenges can I sign up to?

I’ve created a poster! Do you need to see it before I get it printed?

Due to our branding guidelines we do ask that you send across your media before printing so we can check our logo and branding has been used properly. 

What do I do once I’ve set up my event/challenge and fundraising page?
