We are delighted to announce Vantage Sporting Group as new Charity Partners for 2018. Ty Temel, founder of Vantage and owner of Halo nightclub in Bournemouth first contacted us in December. He was looking for a local charity to support.
The reason why…
Sadly in November, Bournemouth local and VCBC trainer Johnny Wittam took his own life. He was just 31. Ty knew Johnny through the Charity Boxing Challenges that Vantage host.
This was the prompt that Ty needed to get in touch – he wants to make a difference and raise mental health awareness
. Especially for young men.
Vantage Group’s charity work
Vantage Group are a professional sporting events promotion company
. They supported Julia’s House last year and raised a colossal £32,400
. This could mean a significant contribution to our Dorset Mind Your Head campaign for young people’s mental support services
The boxing match
Our first Charity Boxing Match (VCBC4) is being held on 24th March, at the O2 Academy, Bournemouth
. Participants receive 8 weeks FREE training
under the watchful eyes of boxing coaches at Fit2 Box
. They will compete in a white collar match against someone of similar age and build. And in return they raise money for Ty’s chosen charity, in this case us!

Registration closes at midnight on 21st January.
