New Pop-Up sessions from Space
From Monday 20th February Space Youth Project will offer pop-up sessions at Treads in Blandford. The sessions are confidential, informal and welcoming – and will take place on the third Monday of each month.
About Space Youth Project
Space Youth Project was started in 2001 by a group of lesbian and gay young people in Bournemouth who wanted a place to meet and get help. They have continued to do this and have since expanded. Space provides safe, non-judgemental environments for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning (LGBT+) young people to meet all over Dorset. One-to-one interventions can be provided if needed.
Qualified youth workers and amazing volunteers facilitate their work. The emphasis is on fun and laughing, and enjoying yourself and your life through what can be sometimes challenging times.
Space aims to help everyone be more understanding and inclusive, leading to happier, stronger communities.
The Dorset Plane Pull is a challenge that involves teams competing through the day to pull a mighty Boeing 737 commercial airliner weighing 35,000kg a distance of 50 meters in the fastest time…
We are supporting our Charity Partners Ceuta Group who have entered a team! We’ll be there from 9.30.
What else happens at the plane pull?
There’s live music, charity stalls, drink and food stands and lots more to see. Its a fun way of spending a Bank Holiday Monday!
If anyone wants to join us on the day as part of the Dorset Mind volunteer team, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
