AFC Bournemouth x Dorset Mind at Vitality Stadium

Fitness/ Wellbeing Workshop

2 Dates Available. Limited Spaces

There are several ways to become our partner or supporter – you can help us in various ways, not just financially. We work with companies and organisations of all sizes and from a variety of industries. We enjoy learning about what businesses do for our communities.

What can we offer YOU?…

Organisations often choose charities to support. Mental health is prominent in the news, especially following Covid-19 where we all had to follow the restrictions of lockdown. Choosing us as your charity partner confirms you are current and relevant by choosing a cause that helps support local people towards positive mental wellbeing.

Commit to fundraise for us for a year and we will make sure it’s a fun and eventful year for both organisations!

We will send you a suite of posters and printed collateral about mental health. They provide information about Dorset Mind and the support we provide across Dorset for adults and young people. We suggest ways to volunteer and fundraise – and let you know what your donations could fund. We also provide a crisis poster, so your employees know where to turn to for help. You can also find this information here.

We work hard to support our relationships. We aim to ensure that our partnership creates maximum impact online and offline and benefits both parties.

Working together will help elevate our profiles. We operate very active social media channels and enjoy creating eye-catching content. Support us and engage with the conversation online – help us increase our reach and influence.

One of the benefits of working with us is that Mind is instantly recognisable as one of the leading national brands synonymous with mental health.

Not only this, we have access to Mind’s library of information and expertise across the network and their printed booklets about Mental Health.

The Mind brand provides assurance that our local support services are regulated and safe. We are audited every three years against a set of KPIs to ensure our charity provides a quality service worthy of the brand.

Raising awareness is as important to us as fundraising.

Visibly demonstrate to your employees that you’re taking their mental health seriously – by supporting us you’re also sending out a clear message to your clients that you’re doing so too.

Raising awareness internally is important. In your company right now, 1 in 6 are dealing with a mental health condition such as anxiety, depression or stress. Help us normalise the conversation around mental health so that your employees can find the help they need.

We can provide speakers with lived experience to help your staff understand why its so important to support us. This will encourage ‘buy-in’ from your workforce and a fruitful year for us both.

Your vital donations help us support local people with their mental health challenges. What’s more, you can even choose to sponsor a particular project or area of the charity.

Our events team ensure we have a packed calendar of endurance and fun events you can take part in, as a team or alone. We also have plenty of ideas if you want to organise your own event.

We are dedicated to being fully transparent – we accurately track your donations and let you know exactly where your money goes. At the end of our partnership, we will send you a certificate of appreciation – to demonstrate a genuine token of our thanks.

Ask us for more details, or find out more here!

You can sponsor events, marketing collateral, equipment or even a specific project or area of our charity. In return, we will ensure you receive thanks publicly. We will feature your logo and appropriate photos across our social media and website.

Being associated with a mental health charity is a great way to help raise your profile. For us it means that a larger proportion goes towards benefiting local people with their mental health.

Spend some time with us and find out first-hand about the good work we deliver locally in Dorset.

We offer CSR and volunteer opportunities across our organisation. This will help your staff get involved with us as people, not simply a charity. We have created a short-term volunteer process so that your staff members can volunteer from as little as half a day with us. They will be supported all the way – and we do like to have fun doing so!

Suitability for roles depends on skills and experience – and how much time your employees have to spare. Volunteers are an essential part of our charity and we highly value their contribution.

Speak to our Partnerships Coordinator for further information about our Corporate short-term volunteering. And find out more about volunteering for us and the type of roles we have available.

You can donate gifts or services to us ‘in kind.’ We’re always seeking prizes for raffles and charity auctions – perhaps you would like to contribute?

Or perhaps your company can help in other ways…

For example Maidmans Moving and Storage helped us move premises, they deal with our confidential shredding and lend staff and lorries for our Xmas Tree campaign.
The Sandbanks Ferry Company donated some advertising space on the ferry boarding.
Morebus re-branded one of their buses with a campaign to raise awareness and funds for us.

These are just three examples – we’re always open to suggestions for help!

By choosing Dorset Mind Works training you will be seen to be actively supporting mental health – and investing in your staff.

We offer partner discounts for our mental health training packages, courses and presentations.

Find out more by heading to our ‘Dorset Mind Works’ section.

Our Marketing team supports events and celebrates achievements across our active social media channels.

We enjoy engaging with our partners and supporters too as we believe it helps enhance both our profile and increases awareness.

We announce partnerships on our website and online – and post credible, informative content about Mental Health and the support services we deliver.

Our partnerships often develop into friendships as we work closely with our partners. Find out how to join our movement below…

What to do next…

We prefer to talk face to face where possible. We firmly believe that people support people they connect with.
