Dorset Mind’s Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall governance, and strategic direction of the charity. They develop the organisation aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.
They also ensure delivery of our mission, which you’ll find here.
Become a Trustee
In order to deliver the Dorset Mind 5-Year Strategy the Board of Trustees constantly reflect on the range and extent of the skills and experience of its constituent members. From time to time a Trustee is sought with a particular interest, career history, qualification or skill set.
The process is simple. You will be required to attend an informal meeting with the Chair of Trustees before a formal interview with two other existing Trustees. Before being appointed you will need to attend three Trustee meetings and have attended a subsequent meeting with the Chair of Trustees. Trustees are re-appointed every three years at the Charity’s AGM which is usually held in December.
We are seeking someone who will provide expertise and leadership to Dorset Mind’s portfolio of work that is designed for the benefit of children and young people. Find out more here.
