Thanks to New Springs ‘Road to Recovery’

New Springs Road to RecoveryHuge thanks to everyone involved with the New Springs dance production of ‘Road to Recovery.’

The show took place during May’s Mental Health Awareness Week at The Regent Centre in Christchurch.

New Springs ‘Road to Recovery’

The dance was energetic, inspired, and the production slick.  Motivational quotes were inter-woven within the show.  The music varied from musical theatre to Michael Jackson, and the dance styles varied from modern street dance to traditional ballet moves.

‘Road to Recovery’ aimed to give hope to anyone with mental health challenges.  It achieved that magnificently.   It was clear to see that dancing as part of a team really does promote great mental health and wellbeing.

A key part of Dorset Mind’s ethos is to promote recovery from mental ill health through education.  You can recover from mental health, but of course that takes effort and experience, knowing what works for you.

Congratulations to New Springs for raising a massive £693.93.  Special thanks to the dance troupe itself – and also everyone who helped behind the scenes.

New Springs is facilitated by Mad4Dance – see here for more information, or contact troupe leader Emily via email (emilyweaver@gmail.com).
