Panacea in Mind Support Group

Panacea in Mind is a support service for people suffering from anxiety conditions, including Agoraphobia, Social Phobia, Panic Disorder.  It’s also for related conditions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

The group offers peer support and the opportunity to share difficulties and achievements with others who have had similar experiences.

Each session involves a guided relaxation or mindfulness exercise and time to share experiences and concerns. This will be followed by discussion workshops.

The workshops cover a diverse range of subjects, for example:

  • Developing self-compassion and building self-esteem.
  • Managing anxiety.
  • Anxiety conditions, their symptoms and effects (including OCD, Phobias, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).
  • Recovery based coping skills, for example, helpful ways of thinking, relaxation and mindfulness.
  • Health and wellbeing information.
  • Signposting to other support groups and agencies.

Day time group
The daytime group meets every other Wednesday from 10.30 to 12.30pm at:

Evening group
The evening group meets once a month on the last Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at:
