We’ve entered the Aviva Community Fund to win funding to set up 10 new SAFE mental health and wellbeing support groups in rural areas of North and West Dorset.
The Aviva Community Fund
We’ve entered the Health and Wellbeing category that aims to help people take control of their physical and mental health. Getting fit helps people feel better on a number of levels. This includes improving physical, mental and emotional health and boosting social interaction.
The county of Dorset has many rural areas. As a result, people do struggle to access services because of lack of reliable transport – or even poor broadband access.
Our support groups will make a HUGE difference to those who live in these areas with mental health problems.
Locations where we want to deliver fortnightly support groups are: Dorchester, Blandford and Bridport, Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Swanage, Wareham, Wimborne and Six-Penny Handley.
But to win, our project has to receive the greatest number of votes.
How you can help
