Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 12th to 19th May. This year the theme focuses on ‘Body Image’ – how we look and feel about our body.
Alongside the schedule of events we are participating in, our support services run as normal. You might take note of our Restored Eating Disorder Support group which is particularly relevant to #MHAW19.
Do also keep an eye on our very active social media accounts. Our Youth Ambassadors are taking over our ‘Dorset Mind Your Head’ Instagram account for the week. This is the first time we’ve organised a take over, so we’re excited to see how that goes!

Highlights of our upcoming events:
Monday 13th May – our patron Dr Andy Mayers will feature on Wave 105’s news bulletins, focusing on body image.
Tuesday 14th May – our youth Ambassador Calvin Glen is on Radio Wimborne, speaking with Jason Dean.
Wednesday 15th May – Poole Bay Rotary support us once more with their annual ‘Toddlethon’ in Poole Park.
Thursday 16th May – This is our busiest day! First we’re with Bournemouth University for their Wellness Event at the Old Fire Station. There’s also a Charity Race Night over in Dorchester, run by Marketing West and David Upshall Insurance. And finally, Calvin Glen is hosting ‘An Evening with Calvin’ at Roxy’s in Charminster.
Saturday 18th May – We’re in Dorchester once more for the ‘Picnic in the Park,’ where we’ll be promoting Dorset Mind Your Head and the GAP Project.
