HUGE thanks to Westbourne Rotary & Will Hume

To date, Westbourne Rotary has raised an incredible total of £5,219.58 for Dorset Mind’s Youth Services.  And it’s been done in some very inventive ways, along with annual fundraising favourites such as bag-packing at The Range, and Santa’s Grotto in Westbourne and Boscombe.

One of the latest fundraising events took place in Macau, China!  President Will undertook “the World’s highest bungee jump” – a massive 233m up from the ground. He filmed the moment he stepped off the platform via a GoPro – so you can almost share his experience.  It’s truly hair-raising.

Will raised an incredible £1,250 (plus £218.75 Gift Aid) in donations by doing his jump.  That’s a grand total of £1,468.75 from just ONE event.

A big THANK YOU…

Will presents Ken with chequeDorset Mind are so grateful to Westbourne Rotarians, as their immense efforts have contributed substantially towards establishing the start of our Youth Services.

We’ve been able to start working with local schools, and provide a mental health directory for under 18’s on their website.  And this is the start of our plans as we’re just appointing a new Trustee to drive this project.

It’s an incredible legacy achieved during Will’s year as President, and one that will continue as our services grow.

And not only that, we’ve made some great friends!
