The Volunteer Manager role is a key position at Dorset Mind. Volunteers are crucial to the success of the charity and undertake a variety of tasks from 1-2-1 support to office administration. We are seeking an exceptional person to join our management team and oversee the delivering of our Volunteer Strategy. The Volunteer Manager will act as the key point of expertise for staff who work with volunteers ensuring that everyone receives the support they need. They will be the central point of contact for volunteers coordinating recruitment, support, events and communications.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and an understanding of volunteering. They will be wholeheartedly committed to Dorset Mind’s ambitions to support people with their mental health and will embrace diversity.
Volunteers support Dorset Mind across the county of Dorset so the Volunteer Manager will need to travel and use a range methods of communication including social media. They will seek to find and develop partnerships with other organisations that foster meaningful volunteering opportunities that help us to change lives.
The role is for 22 hours a week.
