  • Join forces in campaigning for better support for people with mental health difficulties
  • Explore potential for working together withing formal or informal partnerships

SUBU The well-fair 2018 at Bournemouth University @ Bournemouth University
Jan 29 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

subu well-fairOn Monday 29th of January, SUBU  Volunteering will be hosting their first ever well-fair. This is going to be taking part in the Student Centre at the Talbot Campus of Bournemouth University. The fair will run from 11am till 3pm.

What is the aim of the well-fair?

The aim of the event is the raise awareness of how volunteering can help improve personal well-being. As part of this the fair is going to be an interactive volunteering fair with a range of local organisations. This is going to allow students to experience a small part of the positive benefits that volunteering brings. Each organisation will be offering a ‘5-minute volunteering’ slot.

How are Dorset Mind involved in the fair?

For the fair, we will be asking students to share their ‘Student Well-being tips’. We will be asking students as they can gather from their own experience to help support other students. After we have collected the tips, we will be incorporating them into our website and across social media.

We will also be asking people to share their mental health stories with us. This is helpful for us to show how people deal with mental health difficulties and how everyone has different experiences. This is going to be done completely anonymously.
