SnowdonOn Saturday 23rd June, a team from Douch Funeral Directors will be taking on Snowdon. The team is made up of Douch family staff and friends. So far they have a team of 11 and are hoping this will increase.

The Snowdon Climb

The Douch team will be heading to Wales the day before the climb. On the Saturday they will be tackling Snowdon. There will be a 5km climb with an 800m ascent. It should take 3 hours to get up and then back down again! They will be taking on the challenge to raise money for us.

Douch Funeral Directors Fundraising

As one of our charity partners, Douch are taking on a few challenges to support Dorset Mind. They have set themselves a target of £2,000 for the year. Fundraising started with R.E.D January and was followed by a Cheese and Wine Evening in March. So far they have reached 1/3rd of their target.

Here is a message from Bruce Clarkson who took part in VCBC4 –

‘Depression and other mental health issues still have a certain taboo about them and only those who have lived through it, or with someone who’s suffered can truly understand the difficulties it brings but also truly appreciate the help of charities such as Dorset Mind. I for one wouldn’t be where I am today without this type of support and can’t thank them enough for the great work they do!!

I’ll admit, the training was hard and along the way blood, sweat and tears were shed but I kept reminding myself of why I was doing it and the benefit my commitment would have for others!!  The guys at fit2box we’re amazing, really took the time to support every fighter and we’re so professional in their approach to training, fitness, nutrition and health & safety!!

The event itself was nothing short of spectacular and such a great buzz! For everyone, win, loose or draw it really didn’t matter. Just being part of the event and raising so much money was reward enough!! Would I do it again???…absolutely!!’

The final entry is Sunday 22nd April at Midnight.
